We need volunteers to manage our booth at the Chihuahuan Desert Fiesta Sept. 18 at the State Park. The booth is under a huge tent, so you will be out of the sun. The celebration runs from 9 am to 3 pm. This event gets great attendance from many El Pasoans who have never been to the state park (it’s free entry that day). It’s a great opportunity for the club to highlight all of their hard work and accomplishments of the past year.
Club president David Wilson will be addressing the crowd at 1:20. Before that, around 10 am, Robert Newman and other trail builders will be giving a hands-on trail clinic. It’s not a long distance from the fiesta activities, so we should get some people out there.
We only need people to volunteer for an hour or so. No need for any one person to stay out there all day. If you’d like to volunteer, email us at bmbaelpaso@hotmail.com.
